In the afternoon, we will visit the Gojyoshi Fukaka Pottery Kiln, which is home to a master potter. Here, you will have the rare opportunity to actually experience the shaping and coloring of Kutaniyaki and create your own brightly colored Kutaniyaki. Experience the traditions and techniques of Kutaniyaki and experience the joy of making things.

After the experience, you can enjoy a special dinner with Kutani Yaki artisans. You can listen to the artisans talk about the history and techniques of Kutani Yaki while enjoying a fine meal served on expensive Kutani Yaki dishes. This is a special experience that can only be had here in the world.

The tour will conclude with a relaxing visit to Awazu Onsen Hot Springs. Awazu Onsen is one of the oldest hot spring resorts in Japan, and one of the potential lodging options, Houshi Ryokan, is the second oldest onsen ryokan in the world. Spend a blissful time soaking in the hot springs and refreshing your mind and body in the quiet environment deep in the mountains.

This tour includes two Kutani pottery experiences: painting at the Kutani Ceramic Laboratory and shaping and coloring at the Gojyoshi Fukaka Pottery Kiln. At the Kutani Ceramic Laboratory, participants will experience painting on small Kutaniyaki plates. The instructor is a master Kutani artist, who skillfully uses five different colors to create small plates with similar patterns that are completely different from each other.

The painted Kutani Yaki small plates are fired immediately after being painted. You will receive them at dinner with the Kutani Yaki artisans. Looking at the small plates, which are full of the individual personalities of each participant, you will naturally engage in conversation with the artisans.

At the entrance of the museum, visitors can see super-sized construction equipment used in overseas mines, and enjoy a breathtaking view while riding on the top of the equipment.
